ABSTRACT:
ABSTRACT: Food is an important part of balanced diet. Life can be sustained only with adequate nourishment. Eating healthy and live healthy is one of the essential requirements for long life. Eating at home remains very much ingrained in India culture and changes in eating habits are very slow moving with barriers to eating out entrenched in certain sectors of Indians society. During Adolescence period multiple changes occur including rapid growth and development, eating behaviours are easily affected by several factors such as parents, peer group, social relation and environment etc. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching programme on knowledge regarding fast food and its consequences among male students. By doing pre experimental one group pretest and post test design 35 male students were selected. By having structured knowledge questionnaire pretest was conducted. After STP post test was conducted with same questionnaire. Data were analysed and found that STP was effective for updating knowledge regarding fast food in adolescence.
